A brief History of Winslow
The Winslow Assessment system was founded William Winslow over 40 years ago. During his early success as a business owner and a passionate sports fan Mr Winslow took a great interest in the importance of Personality to achieving success and fulfilment. Mr Winslow invested millions of dollars to develop a personality profiling system that was above all sophisticated and practical, that would be great for effectively developing and coaching people and lead to more successful people selection. Mr Winslow has engaged hundreds of people to develop the Winslow System. At any one time around 70% of these people are Psychologists and various types of Psychometric scientists, with around 30% of these people were successful business leaders, managers, HR specialists, coaches and people who can bridge the gap between something with useful and sound theory and something that that also has great scope for it's practical application. The system is constantly reviewed and updated against the many thousands of new normative data that is collected every 2 years.
In sport .....
The Winslow Assessment system was first successfully used in sport by the American National Hockey, Football, Basketball Leagues. Major League Baseball employs the highest salaried teams in the world (average salary is over US$2m) every year for the last 38 years there are over 1,000 players that go through the Baseball draft, they all do a Winslow Assessment, managers and coaches are then able to make better decisions in offering multi-million dollar contracts and then in how to best utilise, develop and manage the players they have selected.
The Winslow Assessment system has been used by sixteen Olympic National Teams including most famously the 1980 US Ice Hockey team, who's Gold Medal success was so completely unexpected that Walt Disney made a film called 'Miracle' to re-tell the story of how the management and coaching approach of the team manager Herb Green made the difference. Herb Green insisted that all the players took a Winslow Assessment and he used the information from these Assessments not just to help him select the right players but to coach, manage and inspire them even more effectively.

In the 1980's after the publicity of the Winslow Assessment system getting such great results, many more business leaders would contact Winslow asking if they could use the system in their businesses. One of the reasons Mr Winslow had used the system with great success in his own business he and began working with some of the longest using customers of the system such as Oracle Corporation and Bay Area Rapid Transit.
